Beta Read
A beta read is an assessment toward the end of book writing and revision, to ensure your manuscript is sound before querying or self-publishing. I answer up to ten specific questions ranging in breadth, depending on your concerns for the manuscript. You can opt for a standard ten or provide your own questions.
My beta read reports tend to be 5-8 pages with feedback based on my impressions as a reader rather than my recommendations as an editor. I recommend an author seek beta reads from 3-5 people, both regular readers and professional editors, to get a thorough survey of the manuscript's integrity.
In the early stages of writing, when the manuscript hasn’t yet gone through a lot of revision, I offer a manuscript evaluation (or critique) rather than a beta read. Similar to a beta read, it entails a critical read-through and an editorial report, but from my end it’s more regimented and closer to a developmental edit but without annotations.

The minimum fee for a beta read is $500.
