This 1-hour workshop is Part 3 of a series organized by Voices of Tacoma: A Gathering of Poets and offered via the Tacoma Public Library. In this workshop, we will discuss how to self-edit. The content will apply to poets and prose writers. We will talk about tightening sentences, looking for music and rhythm, seeking and crafting pattern, creating a lexicon, adding sensory details and textures, and more.

In this increasingly virtual world of emails and digital content, clear communication is essential and can affect your bottom line. I will demonstrate for your team a series of effective tips and tricks to improve their writing. We'll discuss basic grammar and style guidelines and practice simple self-editing.
